When you were a small baby, you didn't doubt that you were the centre of the Universe. Your every need was met, ecstasy was just you lying there in your cot, kicking your legs in the air, gurgling and blowing bubbles. Later you learnt that in order to get what you wanted you had to yell and cry and eventually somebody would present you with a sweet or whatever it was you were yelling for. It became a great game - until you forgot that it was a game and you took your yelling and screaming seriously. Then life became a sequence of dramas, because you had learnt that the way to get what you wanted was to be unhappy. At first you just acted unhappy (if you don't believe this, pop into any supermarket and watch what happens when a harassed mother has a child in a push-chair who knows that she will not be able to hold out for long against its manipulation. Watch the sudden transformation of the child's face as it gets the chocolate it has been screeching for) but then you forgot that it was an act and now you are stuck with it. You still think that the way to get what you want is to be unhappy, ill, unlucky or a victim. Which is not true. What if you could be radiantly happy and have all the things you want in your life? And what if you could have all those things easily and effortlessly? For more click on how we do it.
